Deep Water comes from a series of small hand held sculptures which Dilworth has been developing for a number of years. Their purpose is for the holder to rotate, feel and caress the work within their hand and use the work as an aid in reflection and contemplation. The idea came to the artist when he made a similar work for an ill friend as a way of reminding her to stop and reflect on her health and healing.
