MacMurray is also an extraordinary draughtswoman. Her intricate yet powerful drawings take scraps of bandages, hairnets or trench maps which are enlarged by projector to provide MacMurray with a web of line that she can work from. The resulting drawings are evocations of something lost or discarded but given new life in their beautiful delicacy and sensuous movement.
Susie MacMurray is a British artist whose work includes drawing, sculpture and architectural installations. A former classical musician, she retrained as an artist, graduating with an MA in Fine Art in 2001.
