Crow II is a fine example of O’Casey’s playful nature within his sculpture. The dark natural colour of the patina paired within the simplistic forms of the bird not only help to emphasises the tactile nature of the work but the playful manner in which the bird holds its newly found, treasured coral bead. O’Casey’s Crows are one of his most popular series of bronze birds with this A/P being the last remaining work available from the edition.
