Rooted in a strong figurative tradition, Terence Coventry's sculpture explores familiar themes such as birds, bulls, cows and boars.  The human figure is another preoccupation to which he frequently returns and in this exhibition of recent work we see a new series of joyous, energetic figures full of humour and vitalism. The stimulus of the land and its occupants is central to his sculpture: their ruggedness and gentleness; their movement and behaviour. Coventry expresses his fundamental relationship with his environment and produces images of great power and tenderness.
